Acupucnture for IVF/IUI
There are numerous
published studies that demonstrate the direct effects acupuncture can have on the reproductive system. When properly performed, the success rate of ongoing IVF pregnancies doubled from that of the control group. It has also been shown to increase implantation rates, decrease miscarriages, decrease ectopic pregnancies and increase live birth.
Acupuncture has been clinical proven to:
- Enhance Egg Quality
- Enhance the Quality of Uterine Lining
- Reduce the chance of Uterine contraction after IVF procedures, and relieve stress
- Improve local circulation to help implantation
Herbs for IVF/IUI
Ideally, combination of acupuncture and herbs are more effective for infertility issue. If the client is already on the IVF/IUI procedures (hormonal suppression or stimulation), we only provide the client with acupuncture treatment at that time in order to avoid any herb-drug interactions and contraindications. Mostly, combination treatments are provided for those who like to try natural pregnancy or at least three months prior to IVF/IUI cycle.
Male role in IVF cycle
Although men have a less active role to play during the IVF procedures, the quality of sperm is as important as the egg. Even embryolotists can inject the "good sperm" directly into the egg, they cannot improve the vitality of sperm. Men are recommended to begin treatment as early as possible to improve the sperm quality. Usually, it takes about 3 momths for sperm to mature. Moreover, acupuncture and herbs are effective in physical and emotional disorders.
